Sherman Alston shines again, leading St. Joseph Regional to a 40-21 victory over Ramapo.
The Green Knights’ all-star running back carried the ball 20 times, gaining 234 yards and four touchdowns.
After St. Joseph Regional broke out to a 14-0 in the first quarter, Ramapo started to fight back. By the half, the Green Knights’ lead was cut to 21-14.
St. Joseph powered out of the half with 19 third quarter points. The Raiders added on a touchdown in the fourth, but the damage was already done.
Adding to Alston’s ground game, Spencer Aukamp completed six of 12 passes for 132 yards. Aukamp’s favorite target in the game was Ronald Edwards with four catches for 111 yards.
This victory puts St. Joseph Regional at 8-0 and 5th in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings and 1st in New Jersey. The Green Knights’ regular season comes to an end in their next game against 79th ranked Don Bosco Prep on November 28 in the Thanksgiving Bowl.
